Are You Part of the Church?

Well, as many of you know we have many wonderful Mormon friends in San Antonio. I just met another residents' wife and family the other day at the pool and it is important to mention that they were also Mormon. Not knowing us yet, her son asked Mitchell and I if we were part of "The Church"? Well, knowing that he was probably referring to the Church of Latter Day Saints, I politely said, "No we are not, we do go to church, but not the same kind as you do." The boy then went on to ask Mitchell where we went to church. Instantly for some reason Mitchell got really defensive, as though the child was acting like his church was not cool, even though the boy wasn't. Mitchell scrunched his eyebrows up and yelled at the boy and said, "We go to church with JESUS!" I thought this was hilarious! I was so thankful that the mother was not offended and she very politely said, "Well that is great!"
Although we do not really go to church with Jesus, it made me happy to know that at least Mitchell is learning something about Jesus in his bible study class. I thought everyone, Mormons and all, might get a good laugh out of this.

Journey Into Blog World

I am extremely new to blogging. I guess you could call me a blogging virgin until now that is. I have many friends that have been trying to convince me to join the ranks of the many bloggers. So this first blog is for my new friend Sabrina, whom I will just call the blogging Queen! I plan to at least post a new blog every week. Those of you that know me, know that this will eventually turn into twice a month and so on, but we will just wait and see. So here we go, off to a blogging start!
